LTA E-guidelines with effect from 26 Nov 2018

Reference to LTA press release issued on 7 November 2018.

LTA will no longer be issuing transaction pin with 26 November 2018. With the adoption of SingPass/CorpPass 2FA, owners will no longer need to apply for a Transaction PIN (TPIN) with effect from 26 November 2018.  

Vehicle owners will use their SingPass (for individuals) / CorpPass (for corporates) 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) to access the 4 new digital services at www.onemotoring.com.sg securely and conveniently.

Guide to transfer vehicle ( Seller to Buyer / Dealer )

Steps For Seller:
1. Access via ONE.MOTORING portal > Click on Login.
2. Login through SingPass > Enter your SingPass ID and Password> Click on Login
3. Enter OTP details > Click on Submit 
4. Click on Transfer Vehicle  for the list of vehicle(s) available for transfer.
5. Step  Select the Vehicle No > Mobile No. displayed will be used for receiving SMS alerts for digital transactions > Click if you agree to all the given terms & conditions > Click on Next.
6 . Enter next owner’s details > Click to select ID Type > Enter ID > Enter Name > Enter Mobile No > Click on Submit.
7 )To confirm ownership transfer application > Click on Confirm
8) Click on Request OTP > Enter OTP details and click Submit to confirm the Vehicle transfer application. Acknowledgement will be displayed .

Transfer Vehicle - Confirm transfer vehicle

Steps for Buyer:
1. Access via ONE.MOTORING portal > Click on Login In.
2. Login through SingPass > Enter your SingPass ID and Password> Click on Login
3. Enter OTP details > Click on Submit 
4. Click on Confirm/Reject to process the transfer of vehicle.
5. Select the Vehicle No.> Click Ok if you agree to all the given terms & conditions>  Click on Confirm Transfer ->
6 . To update Next Owner’s details > Enter Building Name (if applicable) >  Select Insurance Company & Enter Policy No. > Select Renewal Period (6 months or 12 months) > Click on Submit>
7. To confirm transfer by new owner, click Confirm. 
8) Click on Request OTP  > Enter OTP details and click Submit-> to confirm the vehicle transfer application.
9. Select payment method > Click on Pay > Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the payment transaction.
10. Transaction completed successfully. Receipt generated.

After the Seller has applied to transfer the vehicle ownership to the Buyer, the Buyer has the next 5 calendar days to log in to www.onemotoring.com.sg to accept the transfer. If the vehicle is still under financing, when the Buyer accepts the transfer the first time, the financing cycle will be triggered and the finance company will be notified. Under the financing cycle, the vehicle is tagged for 8 calendar days to allow time for the vehicle financing to be settled. Once the financing tag has been lifted by the finance company, the Buyer can log in the second time to confirm the vehicle transfer. The flowchart for transferring a vehicle under financing is shown below: 

Process flow for deregistering a vehicle that is still under financing

 Deregistering a vehicle that is more than 8 days to auto deregistration date (e.g. COE expiry or life span expiry): Once the owner applies to deregister a vehicle that is still under financing, the financing cycle will be triggered and the finance company will be notified. Under the financing cycle, the vehicle is tagged for 8 calendar days to allow time for the owner to settle the vehicle financing. Once the financing has been settled and the financing tag has been lifted by finance company, the Buyer can log in to confirm the deregistration.

How to Find your Vehicle COE Number

Apply online:
1. Log into www.onemotoring.com.sg
2. Click “Log in” > Select the appropriate access: Singpass – Singaporean & PRs 
OR User ID & Password – for Foreigner / Company 
3. Click on “Ownership” > Select “PARF/COE rebate” > Select “Apply to Encash Rebate” > Select Rebate(s) > Click “Yes”(Both COE and PARF Rebate) > Click I AGREE

Deregistering a vehicle that is less than 8 days to auto deregistration date (e.g. COE expiry or life span expiry):

Once the owner applies to deregister a vehicle that is still under financing,
the financing cycle will be triggered and the finance company will be notified.
Owner is able to proceed with the deregistration. However, the rebate will be tagged.
Once the financing has been settled and the financing tag has been lifted by finance
company, owner can utilise the rebate.
